ham joint meaning the annals of family history, I've served some memorable dishes at holiday meals. I was the first to serve plum pudding and baked Alaska, both properly presented "flambe" which made my family extremely nervous (okay, yes, so I once nearly set the house on fire. I was five years old). I was the first to offer a prime rib cooked in a stove barely registering a temperature. The meat was perfection and no one died of e-coli, though my dogs were miffed at having been denied their share of a $65 piece of meat.
Sprinkle each half with olive oil and freshly ground black pepper. Dribble fresh lemon juice, no more than 1/2 teaspoon on each side. Layer on sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, sliced olives, and red onions. Push them gently down in the depression. Layer on roast beef, and havarti cheese. Or cooking fully cooked ham in crock pot and cheddar cheese. Try sliced turkey and Swiss cheese. If you're adventuresome use all the fillings. Put the other half of bread on the top of the fillings and press down. Wrap firmly in plastic wrap, in aluminum foil and then in a zip locked bag. You might have to cut the sandwich in half to fit in the zip locked bag. With skin left on cooking ham boil pumpkin chunks and mash or blend with cubed cheese and black pepper. Store in the freezer using the same method as the potatoes above. Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water and let stand for 10 minutes. Put the flour, olive oil, and salt into a mixing bowl Mix in the yeast/water. Mix until the dough leaves the side of the bowl. If the mixture is too dry, add water another tablespoon of water. Cover the bowl with a kitchen towel and move it to a warm place dough and let rise for 15 minutes. Avoid sliced or packaged deli meats. Sliced, packaged deli meats are almost always loaded with salt and preservatives. You are much better off buying a turkey or christmas ham, cooking it, and then slicing and freezing the meat yourself. I have a lot of respect for the fruit in our diets, the problem is I think too much is a bad thing. If we eat tons and tons of fruit we are subject to having way too much glucose in our blood which is dangerous for our health. Just because you aren't diabetic doesn't mean sugar can't effect you in a negative way. One of the best foil products I have seen is a shredded cardboard or laminate double foiled back particle spread. In English this means little bitty squares of foil backed pieces that are sprayed over your existing insulation. Even if dust settles on the top layer, there will be several layers underneath that are dust-free that will reflect the unwanted UV rays back away from space.
